  Troy
is a neutered, 1 to 1 and a half year old
husky. We live in the Rosenberg-Richmond
area in Houston. He was found by a friend
next to a dumpster covered in fleas, skinny,
covered in demodectic mange and infested
with heartworms. His teeth were damaged by
'cribbing', it looked like he was shoved in
kennel or something to where he chewed his
teeth down in the front. We took some X-rays
of his heart, and it looked like someone
shot him in the heart with a BB Gun or
buckshot.
He is WONDERFUL with other dogs, though of
course, a little stand-offish at first. He
SNUGGLES and loves attention. He has learned
to walk rather nicely on a leash, and knows
down, sit, and paw. He is very eager to
learn. He only has a few issues with the
kennel. He will whimper and whine, and then
stop maybe in about ten minutes. He must be
stimulated in his crate with bully sticks or
something to chew on food-related. He will
start pacing.
Troy is current on ALL
of his shots, and is going on his second
bout of heartworm treatment. He is up to
date on flea meds, and no longer has demodex
mange. He will need to be put on heartguard
for LIFE.
Troy loves everyone,
and everything, though he should never be
trusted offleash ANYWHERE. He has lots of
energy, and loves to RUN RUN RUN!
His coat IS flat and he's got the doofiest
face. DNA tested positive for full-blown
husky. :) He isn't a big woo-woo'er unless
he wants to go outside.
He has gained a bit of weight since these
photos.
