NOTES: Nadine is sweet, sweet, sweet! She weighs just 38 lbs. Her coat is copper or dark red in color. She loves all people and gets along with dogs. Nadine is well-mannered in the house, non-destructive, housebroken, and crate-trained! She goes to the back door when she wants to go outside. She sleeps and eats in her crate. She is a quiet husky and doesn’t bark or howl much. Nadine knows “sit,” “shake,” and “come!” She rides well in the car. Nadine would probably be a good dog for a family with respectful children. She would do fine with or without other dogs. She is currently living with three large dogs. Nadine needs a safe, enclosed yard with a secure fence. She should be exercised regularly since, like most young huskies, she has quite a bit of energy. She likes to play with stuffed toys. She enjoys sitting at your feet and will follow you from room to room. She likes belly rubs and giving kisses. Nadine has been fully vetted and is ready for adoption today! NOTES: I am in a foster home and it is great but I sure would like to have a home of my own. I have an old injury to one of my back legs but went to a Specialists and she said it was an old injury and healed well so I will limp sometimes. You would never know it cause I run and play hard with the other dogs. I am really good in the house and they tell me I have good manners. I really don't know what that is but I know it is not to eat so I just ignore it. It is nice to hear though cause I think it is something good!! Please come to visit me. I would love my own family.

Zena was found after Ike. She had tags but owners got a new puppy and did not want the "old" dog back. Very sweet girl.

Just a quick update on Zena. We love her!! She is such a sweet dog, so gentle. She did fine on the drive home. Kept her face in the AC vent the whole trip!! She met Dakota on a walk when we got home. They both snifted and kept on moving. No problems. They came in the house and she learned the dog door after about 2 attempts at it. She went out better than she did coming in, but was a champ in  no time!! She walked right into the bigger crate (which happened to have been Cheyannes’), and laid down to take a nap. So, she now knows which crate is hers. (That was luck!!) Mo already had her jump up in his leather(!) recliner so he could pet her belly. She didn’t stay there long; we missed that picture, but there will be more of that, I’m sure!! I think she is going to be Mo’s dog…she loves him. Every time she sees him, she wags her tail. At bedtime, we went to bed and she followed us to Dakotas’ bed (at the foot of our bed) and slept there the whole night. Like the bed was put there for her!! She was so excited to see us this morning when we got up. She headed straight outside to go potty. She has only eaten a little, and is snubbing her nose at most of the treats that we have offered her, but I’m sure that will change when she figures it all out. 

So this morning, I put her in her crate when I went to work. Mo came home about 11:30 and took them both to the dog spa for the “works”. She is so pretty and her coat is absolutely soft and shiny. They brushed her teeth,clipped her nails and cleaned her ears. They got to socialize with the other dogs. They had quite a tiring day! They are getting along great. She even watched him eat out of her bowl ( I hadn’t planned it that way, but wanted to see how they would do.) No problems. I have always free fed our dogs, so that’s all Dakota knows. There will always be plenty of food for both of them. She’ll learn that. They both jumped on the bed when Mo got home to change his clothes…this is Dakotas’ routine, and she joined along. Mo said she even put her paw on his for just a minute! I know you’re probably thinking …what terrible manners, but  you know? We love our dogs and they are part of our family..kids jump on beds, too,right?? HA! HA! 

Thank you all for making this a great experience. She will have a great life, and be well taken care of.

Notes: Boy was I glad to see Husky Haven!! I had a very large cut on my side that I kept licking to make it well. But it just made a big hole Also I had a 2 inch cut under my tail in a very painful place. I was taken from the animal control directly to the Vet. I was really scared but they fixed me up the very same day. I just went to sleep and when I woke up I was all better. Kinda wobbly sore but I knew I was being loved and so I just slept. I didn't even lick it any more. Now I am getting a new coat and looking pretty good. My foster mom says I will be very handsome when my new coat comes in. Now I am ready to go to my new home.

Update: I just wanted to let you know that Sky (Gayla), and Nikita have become fast friends :) Last night, they were introduced and did not seem to get along very well, but we brought them together again this morning, and they were off playing in a matter of minutes!  We have been outside most of the day playing with the dogs, and the kids are absolutely in love with their new "puppy."  The kids wanted to name her Sky because she has such beautiful blue eyes.  She has been eating well, and chewing on her new bones and new toys.  She and Nikita love taking turns running around the yard with the ball, chasing each other. 

NOTES: I am a sweet girl that gets along with other dogs. My foster dad says "NO CRATES" and no latch key, multi dog family preferred". More pics...

Update:

We have started calling her Sierra (they have the same beginning and ending sound) and she has no problem responding to it.

 

She loves to sleep with us at night and loves walking....I have been jogging with her when I get home from work.  When she is home alone, I put all

the blinds up and she does pretty good.  She does howl for a little while when I leave her and jump up on the front windows and has scratched the tint up pretty good but we are now working on that.

But we love her and she has been a great addition to our family.
